GWX IR Polycarbonate Sheet is a high-performance functional plastic sheet, crafted from premium optical-grade polycarbonate (PC) resin via advanced extrusion technology, integrated with special infrared (IR) blocking additives or a professional IR-resistant coating. It efficiently blocks infrared radiation (wavelength range: 780nm–2500nm) while maintaining excellent light transmittance for visible light, combining the inherent advantages of PC material—superior impact resistance, weatherability, and durability—with specialized IR blocking functionality.

Designed to address the challenges of infrared radiation, this product effectively reduces heat accumulation, protects human skin and precision equipment from IR damage, and maintains a comfortable environment. Efficient IR Blocking Performance

Adopts advanced IR blocking technology (additive or coating), with an infrared blocking rate of up to 85%–95% (adjustable according to specific wavelength requirements). It can effectively block harmful infrared radiation, reduce heat penetration, and avoid temperature rise in enclosed spaces, achieving energy-saving and heat-insulating effects. In practical application scenarios, the cooling effect varies slightly depending on factors such as sheet thickness, IR blocking rate, and usage environment. Generally, it can reduce the temperature of the enclosed space by 3–8℃, and the maximum cooling effect can reach 8–10℃ in scenarios such as sunrooms and automotive interiors under strong sunlight. This significant cooling effect helps reduce air conditioning energy consumption and maintain a comfortable environment.

High Visible Light Transmittance

While efficiently blocking infrared rays, it retains high transmittance for visible light (up to 80%–88%), ensuring clear vision and sufficient natural light penetration. There is no obvious color distortion or haze, making it suitable for scenarios requiring both IR protection and visual clarity, such as windows, display covers, and observation panels.

Outstanding Impact Resistance

Based on high-quality PC substrate, it boasts exceptional toughness and impact resistance—up to 25–30 times stronger than acrylic (PMMA) and shatter-resistant. It can withstand accidental impact, collision, and external pressure, ensuring safety and long service life in high-traffic, industrial, or outdoor environments.

Wide Temperature Adaptability

Maintains stable physical and chemical properties in a wide temperature range of –40°C to 120°C, without warping, cracking, or degradation of IR blocking performance under extreme high or low temperatures. It is suitable for both indoor and outdoor harsh environments.

Weatherable & UV-Resistant

Equipped with a UV protection layer, it can resist long-term outdoor UV radiation, avoiding yellowing, aging, or loss of performance. It has excellent weatherability, capable of withstanding rain, wind, sunlight, and other natural factors, ensuring stable IR blocking effect and optical performance for years.

Flame-Retardant & Safe

Available with flame-retardant grade (UL94 V2–V0), meeting international safety standards for construction, electronic, and public facilities. It is non-toxic, odorless, and compliant with environmental protection requirements, ensuring safe use in various scenarios.

Easy to Fabricate

Can be easily processed through cutting, drilling, cold bending, thermoforming, CNC machining, and bonding. It can be customized into various shapes, sizes, and thicknesses to meet the specific design needs of different projects and applications.
